Ditch your cell phone for one WEEK!
With recent technology being applied to life on a daily basis, cell phones have become not just a form of convenience but an essential requirement to life. We treat our cellular devices as an extension to self. As a part of our peripheral, such as our arms and legs. So much, we are no longer concerned or connected with the things that are happening in front of us. We are finding ourselves having to be connected to the things and people who exist on the outside of our primary world. We have lost a sense of connection to ourselves, our thoughts, and our existence by depending on communication devices to complete us. What happened to personal hobbies, being creative, talking face to face with our kids, families, and sharing a physical bond? What happened to us completing task for ourselves without frivolous interruptions from people EXPECTING you to be AVAILABLE because you have a CELL PHONE! Here’s the challenge. Ditch the cell phone, just for ONE week, and see what kind of personal bond and connection is re-established with yourself… a sense of sanity and normalcy. Do it for you.
